Several cringe-worthy statements there.


You highlighted the one about "decrepit" Byrd Stadium:

We can have a decrepit Byrd Stadium, but you only use Byrd Stadium five times a year or so.

One that jumped out at me is:

But my sense is that when people see that we're in the Big Ten, we're in the big leagues now, and it's about football. It's not about basketball, it's about football.

Mark Turgeon says, "Wait ... what?" All those Maryland fans who loved Maryland basketball in the ACC, and who fondly remember that 2002 national championship say, "Wait ... what?"
